‘Idol’ Finalist Jessica Sanchez Gets Props From Philippine President
‘American Idol’ hopefuls Joshua Ledet and Phillip Phillips have gotten A-List support from Mariah Carey, Rihanna and Julianne Hough.

U.S. presidents have typically stayed out of the “who is going to win ‘American Idol’” fray in the past in order to avoid upsetting any voting blocs. But that doesn’t mean that foreign dignitaries can’t offer up their two cents.
That might explain why on the eve of the penultimate performance night on “Idol,” the Associated Press reported that Philippine president Benigno Aquino III has wholeheartedly endorsed his choice for next week’s finale: Jessica Sanchez.
“Hopefully, she really reaches the top,” Aquino said of the 16-year-old top three finalists from Chula Vista, California, who is of Filipino and Latin heritage.
The President isn’t the only one who has co-signed the pixie-size diva. She’s gotten shout-outs and love from everyone from “Idol” mentor Jimmy Iovine and his music industry pal Tommy Mottola to former “Idol” champ Kris Allen. Onetime contestants Jennifer Hudson and Haley Reinhart, as well as singers Billy Joel, Beyoncé, India.Arie and Colbie Caillat have all sung Sanchez’s praises.
In an interview, Allen said, “I said that Jessica Sanchez was my favorite, and I hate saying that to be honest with you because I remember being on the show and other people being fans of other people on the show that were not me. But I think that she is my favorite to win the show. … I think it’s time for a girl to win, to be honest with you.”
While a girl has indeed not won since season six, Sanchez isn’t the only one getting props from famous admirers.
Leading contender Phillip Phillips has been feeling the love on his Twitter account, where he’s gotten shout-outs from past “Idol” contestants including Casey Abrams, Lauren Alaina, Naima Adedapo and James Durbin, who said Phil reminds him of (shocker) Dave Matthews. Also offering praise over the months: rocker Jonny Lang, new Twitter bestie and Dave Matthews bassist Stefan Lessard, fake crush Julianne Hough and the folks at his favorite hometown restaurant, El Coyote Café.
The other male left in the competition, soul sensation Joshua Ledet, is no slouch, either. In fact, over the past four months he’s turned into the celeb-crush object of the moment, chatting up former “Idol” finalists Pia Toscano, Alaina and Melinda Doolittle, as well as “X Factor” finalist Stacy Francis. “Idol” champ Allen had high praise writing, “I think @JLedetAI11 is the best singer that’s ever been on the show.”
Hudson sent a note to Ledet in February that he later said brought tears to his eyes, writing, “Joshua Ledet did an amazing performance of ‘You Pulled Me Through’ on @AmericanIdol last night. Gave me goosebumps!”
Show executive producer Nigel Lythgoe sent along a note from the legendary Percy Sledge that said how much he enjoyed Ledet’s version of “When a Man Loves a Woman.” Oh, and did we mention that Mariah Carey tweeted him? “Joshua, thank you for your kind words and your beautiful performance,” she wrote on March 29 after he sang her version of “Without You.” “I’m honored you chose to sing my version of the song. God bless.”
And Rihanna too? “Joshua Ledet!!!!!!! I’m your #1 fan,” she gushed. Not to mention Mary J. Blige herself, who wrote on May 10, “I just voted for @JLedetAI11 on #Idol. He slayed his performances.”

Tactic 1: Intimidation, bullying and lying! Some special education personnel tr? very hard to b? intimidating, s? that parents will not fight f?r services for th?ir children! Tactic 4: I hav? heard from m?ny parents th?t th?ir special education personnel have actu?ll? changed educational records ?o th?t the? could win a dispute with th? parent! What I have ???n is records added to a child’s file (that the parent did n?t know about) to document things that h?v? happened. This ?s why it ?s critical th?t parents g?t copies of th?ir child’s entire educational record (especially during ? dispute) ?nd k?e? it f?r future reference. If ??u end up ?n due process with y?ur school district check all records th?t they ?r? us?ng t? make sure th?t they match the records th?t y?u have!
Tactic 5: Refusing to identify, ?nd accept disabilities in ? child that make th?m eligible f?r special education services. Many parents must get independent evaluations (at th??r ?wn expense) to prove that their child actually h?? ? disability, and is eligible for special education services!
Tactic 6: Misinterpreting test data t? show th?t th? child do?s n?t ne?d special education services! I hav? heard many special education personnel state th?t the? d? n?t bel?eve low test scores and that th? child does n?t need services be?aus? of th?ir low test scores. This ?? untrue; wh?n?ver a standardized test shows th?t the child i? b?l?w their age and grade ?p?ro?r??te peers in an area, the child ?hould receive special education services ?o th?t the? ?an make progress ?n their education.
Tactic 7: Use delay ?r deny tactics. A lot ?f special education personnel tr? and delay the parents request for special education ?nd related services. They may ignore parents request for testing for eligibility, ?r ?u?t us? ?n? tactic av?il?ble t? delay the request! When delay n? longer works many personnel ?u?t ??? no; which is of course is denial! Stand u? t? thes? tactics b? documenting ?ll requests ?n writing!

McNamee saved waste after injecting Clemens?

WASHINGTON – Brian McNamee testified Tuesday he saved medical waste after injecting Roger Clemens with steroids because his wife complained that McNamee was going to be the fall guy.
McNamee said his wife, Eileen, told him, “You’re going to go down! You’re going to go down! You’re going to go down!”
McNamee, Clemens’ former strength coach, has said he injected the seven-time Cy Young Award winner multiple times with steroids and human growth hormone. He said he had told his wife about the injections.
He said he wanted to do something that would make his wife stop giving him a “hard time every single day,” so he took a swab and cotton ball from a Clemens’ steroid injection in 2001, put it in a beer can, and brought it home.
He said when he showed it to his wife, she said, “all right.”
The waste collected by McNamee is the physical evidence prosecutors are using against Clemens in his perjury trial. Clemens is accused of lying to Congress in 2008 when he denied using steroids or HGH.
McNamee said he stored the material in a FedEx box, first in a closet in his basement, then in a closet in his master bedroom. He said he didn’t have any plans to use the material in any way.
In his 2008 congressional deposition, McNamee said he kept the materials because he distrusted Clemens “to a degree.”
McNamee, who testified Monday that he injected Clemens with steroids 8 to 10 times when they were with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1998, said Tuesday he injected him on multiples occasions when the two men were reunited with the New York Yankees in 2000 and 2001.
According to McNamee, Clemens told him in 2000, “I’m ready to start up again. You have a guy, right?” McNamee turned to Kurt Radomski, who touted human growth hormone, as the “latest and greatest,” and McNamee went back to check with Clemens.
“He said, `Sure, get it,”‘ McNamee said.
McNamee said he injected Clemens with steroids that season, “no less than six, no more than 8 or 10″ times, and HGH 10 to 20 times.
The strength coach also recounted injecting Clemens’ wife, Debbie, with HGH, at her request in 2003. McNamee said that Clemens was present for the injection, while Clemens has said he was not. One of the false charges Clemens is alleged to have made to Congress is that McNamee injected his wife without Clemens’ prior knowledge or approval.
According to McNamee, Debbie looked at her husband, and said, “I can’t believe you’re going to let him do this to me,” and Clemens responded, “He injects me, why can’t he inject you?”
McNamee said he felt “creepy,” because it was his friend’s wife. He said he would never have injected her without Clemens being present.
On Monday, McNamee described for jurors a relationship with Roger Clemens that had the hallmarks of an illicit affair – except their secret was steroids.
“Roger would ask me, `What are you doing? Are you available tonight?’ I knew exactly what he was talking about,” McNamee said.
Clemens was pitching for the Blue Jays, and McNamee was the team’s strength and conditioning coach. According to McNamee, the two men went to Clemens’ apartment in the Jays’ SkyDome stadium in 1998.
“Roger pulled down his pants, exposing his right buttocks cheek to me,” McNamee said. A few seconds later, Clemens said he was ready. McNamee said he then “plunged the fluid in, into his buttocks.”
“That,” McNamee said, “was the first time I injected Roger Clemens.”
McNamee said he didn’t feel good about the moment, but he got the sense that Clemens “wasn’t good at doing the `booty shot.”‘
That year was the beginning of a decade-long relationship that soured when McNamee, facing legal trouble, told investigators he had injected the seven-time Cy Young Award winner with steroids and HGH.
Before McNamee returned to the stand Tuesday morning, U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton dismissed a second juror for sleeping through part of the proceedings. The juror, a woman who works as a supermarket cashier, said during jury selection she had never heard of Clemens, and that, “If he did indulge, I believe he should be penalized.”
Her departure leaves 14 jurors, including two alternates. The case started with 16 jurors, including four alternates. A young man was dismissed from the jury last week for falling asleep.
